BIMBLEBOX SCREENING

THE documentary Bimblebox will be screened at the NPA Friday Environment Forum on 16 May. The film follows the story of Alpha resident Paola Cassoni and her two-year fight to prevent the Bimblebox Nature Refuge – which she co-owns – from being swallowed by the Galilee Coal Project.
Bimblebox Nature Refuge is a peaceful 8000 hectare sanctuary in central-west Queensland.
If this mine goes ahead, it would represent the most significant impact experienced on a nature refuge to date.
