Jonas downs Dad

WEEK three into the season and Noosa Table Tennis Club is are beginning to spot several teams likely to contend for the finals, however it appears it may be more of what happens on the night rather than apparent strength on paper!
Bandits ( K. McDonald, O. Estraviz, J. Campbell , J. Mikkelson ) d Wizards (J. Brown, B. Trauer, S. Campbell, R. Byrne) 8/7. The unlikely pivotal rubber was Jonas’s comeback win over his dad Steve in five sets.
Axemen (R. Gore, C. Barry, D. Brown, L. Gore) d Gamblers (B. Blakemore, T. Latimer, S. Gardner, W. Byrne) 9/6. With David back on board the Axemen will now be a team to be feared.
Blizzard B. Brown, M. Clarke, J. Murphy, R. Yao) d Windmills (S. Ciercan, B. Muller, T. Reeves, M. Duncan) 9/6. A gallant performance by the Windmills, underpowered due to the absence of Allan. Let’s wait for when they meet in the finals!
Competition night is Wednesday from 7pm and the club also has a practice session on Monday nights from 7.15pm. Social groups meet three afternoons a week. All sessions are held at the Bicentennial Centre in Sunshine beach.
