A fond farewell for Maddy

THE life of a local woman will be celebrated as friends and family join together to say their goodbyes.
Madison Rice, who died earlier this month after a tragic accident in Scotland, will be laid to rest in Noosa after her family and the local community raised over $33,162 to bring her home.
Madison’s step-father Alix Welsh said he was grateful to the community for their help in bringing his daughter home.
“Kerry, Harlan and myself will forever be grateful to you all for helping us get our Madison home. We continue to be blown away by the love and support. Thank you just doesn’t sound enough,” he said.
“The date and time has been set to celebrate the life of our daughter, Maddy.
“We encourage all who’d like to attend to wear bright colours and come to celebrate her extraordinary life. Share stories of her ‘Maddy moments’ and ‘Maddy’isms’ with family and friends.”
The service will be held at the Gregson and Weight Noosa Chapel, on Friday 24 June, from 3pm.
