IT isn’t illegal but it is so good it probably should be – local band Contraband is a mix of seasoned musicians who have a rich background in the music industry.
Their experience shows with every croon from vocal seductress Leah Russ, every lick of lead guitar by Ben Richards, the cool foundation beats of Dave Evans and every beat of the drums by Mark O’Bryen.
Together they have formed the ultimate party band covering artists of many genres. The entire repertoire is focussed on getting the party started and keeping it going. Florence and the Machine, Pink, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Duffy, Alanis Morrisette and The White Stripes plus lots of classic top 40 rock are always firm favourites.
New music from Willl Pharell, Daft Punk, Katy Perry, Lily Allen, Paramore and Sheppard are featured alongside classic songs from Wolfmother, Offspring, Kiss, Michael Jackson, Green Day and Nirvana.
Aussie artists don’t miss the Contraband treatment either with Australian Crawl, Baby Animals, Birds of Tokyo and Sam Sparro all performed to perfection.
Always delivering the ultimate night of entertainment with a fan base that grows exponentially with each gig, this is an act that won’t disappoint.
Catch them at the Tewantin Noosa RSL in the Diggers Bar from 8pm on Friday 18 September – free for members and only $10 for non-members. Tickets available from reception or dial’n’charge on 5447 1766.
