Feasting on music

Sound Feast is free monthly community music event at the Noosa Council owned entertainment and community venue The J.
Event organiser Jay Bishoff has successfully brought together many quality musical acts from the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and touring national acts and is quickly building a loyal Sound Feast following.
Friday night will be the 10th and final Sound Feast of 2016 and it begins with an open mic section which has given many local amateur performers the opportunity to perform on the big stage.
New musicians will be able to enjoy the unique experience of being supported by high quality sound and lighting technicians and the chance of a taste of what it’s like to be a professional muso and join the solid following of musicians and music lovers.
For the 18 November gig Jay has once again put together an impressive line-up featuring The Lyrical from Brisbane with its infectious blend of roots, reggae and hip hop, and The Long Johns, also from Brisbane.
The Long Johns are a four piece posse featuring a line-up of banjos, sousaphone, national guitar and the pots and pans.
The event will also featuring popular local muso, Shannon (Sol) Carroll, whose sound is a chilled summer brew of laid-back roots, saltwater folk and acoustic soul.
This event is family friendly and everyone is welcome.
There is comfortable seating including tiered seating, bean bag couches and high bars and stools.
There is a full bar available with drinks and snacks and welcoming venue staff.
The J staff and Jay Bishoff are already planning and looking forward to continuing the Sound Feast tradition into next year.
