Duck dash is a sure winner

MORE than 150 rubber ducks made the dash for the shoreline at Noosa Main Beach on Friday 11 December in a bid to win their owner $1000.
The inaugural Noosa Heads Nippers Duck Race is the major fund-raiser for the club and saw great community support with over $5000 raised for the Nippers program.
Event organiser Damien Smith said there were definite plans to hold the fund-raiser again next year.
“There were a lot of people (at the event) who were from outside the Nippers, so that was great to see,” he said.
Noosa Heads Nippers under-8 assistant age coach Julian Pitts was the winner on the day with his yellow duck making it to the shore first.
