Colour on court

By DES ADSETT

The first week of the school holidays saw lots of action by the juniors on court a Coolum Tennis Club.
On Tuesday, social tennis vacated the courts for the Solinco Series Junior Tournament being run at Noosa and Coolum took the overflow.
On Thursday, the courts were hired by Lifetime Fitness for its tennis squad competing in the Solinco Series and it added a touch of colour to the courts.
There was also school age children of the parents doing Fit Tennis.
The committee is well on its way to organising a meeting room.
The building is currently being constructed off site and will be placed behind the toilet block which will give much needed space for a meeting room and storage.
The club has outgrown its premises with the success of the Pro Shop taking up former meeting room space.
This week there has been a change of personnel.
Andrew is taking a much needed holiday break with his family while he celebrates a milestone in his life.
Members wish Andrew a belated happy birthday and hope the family enjoy their holiday. In his place George from Ash Tennis, Brisbane, will be running the Pro Shop and conducting some of the sessions.
Kurt is still available for his usual sessions. Adam is also taking a family holiday.
All sessions have continued during the break with Monday, Tuesday and Thursday night as well as the day social sessions and the Fit Tennis.
Next week, Ladies fixtures resume and Juniors start their winter season for this term. Check Coolum Tennis Club’s Facebook page and website www.tenniscoolum.com.au for more information.
