Australian Clean Energy Electric Vehicle (ACE EV) used the event to launch its affordable all-electric cars – a panel van and a ute – which will be on sale from June and in stock from November.
ACE EV representative Greg McGarvie said the vehicle, which was the product of a joint Swiss, German and Taiwanese venture, had been two years in design.
The car will travel 350km per charge, retail for under $40,000 and each one come with a home charging station and app to locate charging stations, he said. Greg boasted of the economy of the electric vehicles saying one of his colleagues had recently driven from Melbourne to Maryborough in a Tesla at a cost of $20.
