Make the most of the holidays

THE school holidays are here so it’s time to keep the kids busy with fun arts, craft, do-it-yourself and sports activities throughout the shire.
Noosa Fair Shopping Centre
3 Lanyana Way, Noosa Heads
Noosa Fair will hold a free Mad Hatter Tea Party on Monday 21, Wednesday 23 and Friday 25 September from 10am to 1pm. Get dressed-up and hop along for a morning of great fun.
For the crafty kids, Noosa Fair will also hold a free recycled flower pot decorating workshop on Tuesday 29 September, Thursday 1 October and Saturday 3 October from 10am to 1pm. Get along for some arts and crafts fun and take home a beautiful pot for the garden.
Noosa Leisure Centre
9 Wallace Drive, Noosaville
Grab a cuppa and watch the kids jump, bounce and crawl at the Noosa Leisure Centre Kids Play Room. The play room will be open Monday to Friday from 8am to 1pm for five one-hour sessions. The cost is $5 per child and adult supervision is required.
The J
60 Noosa Drive, Noosa Heads
The Kidzone Disco is back on Tuesday 29 September from 10.30am to noon. Kids between 6 and 9 years can dance along to the DJ and jump on the jumping castle. Cost is $6 per child and the cafe will be open with parents welcome.
Jumpin at The J is a much-loved school holiday activity with five jumping castles taking over The J on Thursday 1 October from 9am. One-hour sessions are available at $10 per child for children aged 3 to 10 years.
Jally Productions presents Snow White and the Seven Cool Dudes at The J on Thursday 24 September from 11am. Adults are $15, children $13 and children in vacation care groups are $12. Bookings are essential so phone 5329 6560 to book your seat.
Cooroy Library
Maple Street, Cooroy
Make it and take it home with the free form art and craft morning at Cooroy Library on Wednesday 23 September, from 10am to noon. The workshop is free and open to children of all ages.
Enjoy a family night in at Cooroy Library and explore the spirit of Indigenous Australians through story and art on Tuesday 22 September, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Bookings are required so phone 5329 6555 to secure your place.
