Flighty facts from feathered few

Piera of Cockatoo Chaos with Ryan, the gosling.

By Margaret Maccoll

Did you know hawk owls eat mice down in one mouthful then regurgitate their bones and fur, black cockatoos love sunflower seeds but too many give them a tummy ache or that Cape Baron geese graze on grass and herbs?
Birds take Flight, a wildlife interactive show, hosted Noosa Civic last week, was filled with interesting facts about native birds  and visitors packed in to see it.
The fascinating show was presented by Raptor Vision and Cockatoo Chaos and their feathered friends including a Barn owl named Spike and a Cape Baron gosling named Ryan, after the film star (Ryan Gosling).
