Step in to the Lions Den

By Hollie Harris

The Lions Den is a tribute show to the legendary male Doo Wop artists of the Frankie Valli era. This trio have an incredible array of talent with each of these performers being individually acclaimed and award winning performers in his own right. When they come together to perform the result can only be described as awe-inspiring.
Daniel Mallari, Joel Gonzales and Lloyd Saniel bring the spectacular harmonies to celebrate the Doo Wop groups that bought pop, gospel, and rhythm and blues together in a new style back in the 50s to 70s. Their show recounts a time when everyone’s life revolved around Saturday night, the one night to put on your best threads, meet your friends, dance to the coolest music on the planet and hopefully fall in love!
There is a little bit of something for everyone in this show with music from the likes of greats such as The Platters, The Everly Brothers, The Drifters and The Bee Gees. If you can find something you love in this show then you may not find it anywhere.
If you want to see The Lions Den then head over to the Tewantin Noosa RSL on Saturday 20th January with support act Russell Davy starting at 7pm followed by the Lions Den at 8pm.
