Alice rocks the golfing crowds

By KATIE DE VERTEUIL

CROWDS flocked to Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort this morning to catch a glimpse of rock music royalty Alice Cooper as he teed off at the local golf course.
Hosted by Zinc 96.1 FM the Alice Cooper Celebrity Golf Day was arranged to align with Alice’s upcoming Australian tour with Motley Crew.
Alice has joined local businessmen including John Madden, Ben Carreira and Ross Turner in this morning’s ‘friendly’ tournament.
Despite the less than promising forecast, the rock legend was ready and raring to hit up the greens in what was an entertaining morning of golf for all in attendance.
Zinc 96.1 program director Ross Turner said he thought the promotion was like no other.
“I think this it’s great to align two things that would normally never be – a rock legend that plays super rocking loud music and a game of golf,” Mr Turner said.
