TEWANTIN NOOSA BOWLS
IT IS great to have visitors arriving from down south. They are taking the opportunity to join in all the club events which are moving along nicely with the new days and formats especially Wednesday Men’s Pairs with around 100 bowlers per week.
TNBC … Saturday ‘Open’ Pairs … winners were Pam and Richard Styles. The runners-up were Tony McAnelly and Daphne Reed…‘Open’ Triples winners were R. Hewson, F. Turton and C. Gallagher. Runners-up were M. King, B. Cornish and B. Nelson. The jackpot was not won and carry over.
TNBC … Sunday Pairs are up and running again, results not known at the time of publication. Noosa Discount Drug Store … Ladies ‘Nominated’ Triples. Winners were Evelyn Coghlan, Van Vignon and Margaret Dodd. The runners-up were G. McDonald, Heather Birt and Jenny Smith.
John Madill’s Toyota … Wednesdays Men’s Pairs … The winners were Steve Chandler and Brian Dodd. (2+ 25) The runners-up were Rick McDonald and Geoff Lewis (1+ 19). The jackpot was not won and carries over. TNBC … Thursday ‘Open Pairs’ … Greens ‘closed’ due to rain.
Noosa Landscape Supplies … ‘Friendly’ Friday Triples. Greens ‘closed’ due to rain. The jackpot of $80 carries over.
Champion of Champions District Men’s Pairs … Congratulations to Bob Nesbitt and Ian Ramsden for making the quarter finals only to be narrowly defeated by Coolum.
Men’s Section ‘B’ Singles … The quarter finals were worked out over the weekend and the winners were Dan Crameri, Ron Evans, Ian McCallum and Gary Moss thereby qualifying for the semi finals (results available next week).
