Woman pulled from burning house succumbs to injuries

The side of the home was badly damaged in the blaze.

A 44-YEAR-OLD woman critically injured in a house fire at Coolum Beach, on Sunday night 17 July, has died in hospital.
The woman was rushed to Nambour Hospital with life-threatening injuries after neighbours called emergency services to the Greenoaks Drive home, about 10.30pm on Sunday.
One neighbour, a man, forced his way inside the residence and dragged the woman out of the burning house and started first-aid treatment.
The 44-year-old woman was transported to Nambour General Hospital where she remained in a critical condition before passing away.
There was no-one else inside the residence at the time of the blaze, which severely damaged the house.
Police are continuing to guard the house overnight and Scientific and Scenes of Crimes officers will attend in daylight hours.
There is no word on the cause of the fire as police investigations continue.
