Light up the Skies

By Hollie Harris

Families are set to turn out in the thousands for the second annual Hot 91 GJ Gardner Homes Noosa Fire In The Sky this Saturday.

The event opens Noosa Alive! activities and will be held at Noosaville Lions Park 3pm to 6.30pm. At 6.15pm, over 10,000 individual fireworks shells will light the sky with a synchronised soundtrack only heard on Hot 91.1.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their picnic blanket and personal radio and stake out their spot on the grass early for the Noosa fireworks show of the year.

Hot 91 Breakfast team, Dave, Sam and  Ash will broadcast live as musicians take to the stage from 3pm, courtesy of Noosa Alive!.

The Hot 91 Kids Zone will provide fun to families with roving entertainers, free face painting and a jumping castle, as well as Laser Assault laser skirmish onsite for $5 per game. Additional activities will be provided onsite by Davo’s Tackle and Skydive Australia.

Over 20 food vendors will fill the Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club carpark to provide attendees with everything from Turkish and Thai food to Vietnamese Street Eats.

Hot 91 advises the public that this is an alcohol free event for all ages, and that public parking will be available in Chaplain Park.

Visit hot91.com.au for full event information and parking options. Pet owners are advised to secure animals in a safe place during fireworks.
