Big crowds on the greens

TEWANTIN NOOSA BOWLS
THE weather has been kind to our visitors and allowed for a variety of bowls most days of the week. They have been a joy and we wish them all a safe return home.
Saturday Open Pairs winners were Claire McGrath and Leigh Fordington. The runners-up were Frank Cleven and Billy Thorn. Triples winners were R Day, E McDonald and B Nelson. The runners-up were the Lords and M Mills. The jackpots were not won and carry over.
Tuesday Ladies Triples and Fours and the winners were Robyn Phillips, Meg Beardsmore and Brian Phillips. The runners-up were Joan Pyers, Marlene Trembath and Lyndal Hughes. Winners of the Men were Davin McGuiness, Gavin Brown, Keith Hill and Tom Goddard.
Wednesday’s Men’s Triples in lieu of Pairs (due to the large number of visitors). The winners were Trevor Crosby, Greg Halloway and Gary Moss (2+ 44). The runners-up were Len Saunderson, Bill Thorne and Brian Dodd (1+17). The jackpot of $171 was not won and carries over.
Thursday Open Pairs winners were Jenny Lonie and Mary Ross and the runners-up were J Roberts and G Lewis. The jackpot of $40 was won by Peter and Kate Hassall.
Friendly Friday Triples winners were visitors A Newton, L Wilson and D Newton. The runners-up were visitors H Watts, A Cooper and J Kentish. The jackpot of $171 was not won and carries over.
Pennant Results Men’s Divisions only win went to Division 4 against Coolum. The Ladies Division 3 were the only winners with two wins against Club Maroochy.
