Spring brings its splash

Spring brings school holidays and Noosa Today has the top events covered with a guide to what activities are on offer to keep the little ones entertained.
School holidays for public schools run from 20 September to 6 October.

Noosa Aquatic Centre
SPLASH into spring at the Noosa Aquatic Centre with the return of the giant inflatable fun park.
Children of all ages are welcome to get along for some bouncy holiday fun with the inflatables running every day of the school holidays, including weekends, from noon to 3pm, weather permitting.

Noosa Leisure Centre
THERE’S fun for all ages at the Noosa Leisure Centre.
The Jump Bunch Holiday Fun Class for children aged from one to five will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the holidays. Classes for one to three-year-olds are from 8.30am to 9.30am and classes for four to five-years-olds are from 10.30am. Classes are popular so bookings are essential. Phone 5329 6550.
NOOSA Yoga will be running extra children’s yoga classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm throughout the school holidays. Phone 0402 341 273 to book.
FOR the active children there are basketball clinics for 12-17-year-olds during the second week of the holidays. Contact the Noosa District Basketball Association on 5447 1999 for more details.
GROUP fitness classes will still run throughout the holidays with the creche open for all morning classes. For more details of classes and times visit www.noosa.qld.gov.au/nlc.

The J, Noosa Junction
The popular Jumpin’ at The J is back for one day on Wednesday 24 September. Let your little ones loose for a one-hour jumping sessions for only $10 at either 9am, 10am, 11am. Parents and supervisors are free to come along and the cafe will be open until noon.

Tewantin Noosa RSL
KIDS who love love the characters on Sesame Street will love Larrikin Puppets. Troggg (with three Gs), Frizzby and their furry friends are coming to Noosa for a special school holiday performance at Tewantin Noosa RSL on Thursday 25 September. The show starts at noon and tickets are only $5 per child for members and $10 per child for non-members. Tickets are available from reception or phone 5447 1766 to book.

Juggling work
THOSE who have ever dreamed of running away to the circus should get along to the Eumundi Market school holiday juggling workshops to learn the basics.
Juggling extraordinaire and coach Josh Bennet from Juggling Giants will teach children of all ages and skills levels, to make their own juggling balls and learn to juggle. Grown-ups are welcome, too.
THOSE who prefer to watch the magic happen shouldn’t miss the incredible Nickleby and his trusty side-kick rabbit, Fluffy Bum. They will present their high-energy magic shows at 10am, 11am and noon on the days of the markets.
FOR creative kids, there are the Spin Art classes hosted by artist Zoe Stevens. Don’t miss the chance to create beautiful art work in this fun and exciting paining technique for kids of all ages.
DUDE, Flame and Phoenix, the dress-up ponies, will also be at the Eumundi Markets for fun, fairy themed rides. The ponies are dressed-up in costume and kids are welcome to dress up too, for some added fun.
There will also be face painting, Segway rides, a jumping castle and child minding.
