Eating out on New Year’s Eve

NEW Year’s Eve is one of the biggest nights on the social calendar. To help you decide how to welcome 2015 in style, Noosa Today has your guide to New Year’s Eve dining in the local shire.
Boathouse, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville
Dine in style at the award-winning Boathouse Noosa. Get in early for the first of two sittings and enjoy three-courses for $59, from 5pm-6.45pm. The second seating offers four-courses for $89 and includes dishes such as tuna tatiki with fingerlimes, soy and Yarra Valley salmon pearls, marinated lamb rump and a selection of delicious desserts.
For a more casual affair, enjoy spectacular views of the Noosa River and sunset while sipping cocktails and a street food menu in the sunset bar. Open from 4.30pm to 1am.

Samba Grill, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville
Samba Grill is turning up the heat this New Year’s Eve with a special menu to celebrate the coming of the new year. Enjoy the popular Rodizio menu – 11 styles of meat served at your table, including chicken, lamb, beef, chorizo, and five side dishes – plus fresh oysters, Brazilian cheese bread, garlic prawns and caramelized pineapple.
The special New Year’s Eve menu is available from 8pm, and is $65 per person with bookings essential to secure your table. There is an earlier dining time of 5.30pm-8pm available with the Rodizio menu only for $42.50 per person.

Waterfront Restaurant and Bar, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville
The masquerade-themed dinner will offer a four-course meal at one of Noosa’s prestigious dining venues, with a menu that includes seafood, Morten Bay Bug risotto and lamp rump with truffle mash.
The party starts at 7.30pm.
Adults are $115 per person and a children’s menu is also available. Bookings are essential.

Embassy XO, Duke Street, Sunshine Beach
Choose from three delicious banquets from $70 per person at Embassy XO. There will be two sittings, one at 6pm and then at 8.30pm.
Chef Joo has created the land, ocean and forest banquet featuring delights such as fried taro cakes, Goldband snapper and rice-crusted beef rib.
