Fancy those Fiona delicacies

By JONATHON HOWARD

A SCRUMPTIOUS little cake shop is making big waves at Noosa Junction after it re-located from Eumundi recently.
Fiona’s Fancies owner Fiona Williams said the new shop location, near the Noosa Cinemas, was receiving a rush of customers.
“We used to be tucked away in Eumundi at Etheridge Street for almost four years,” she said.
“Our Eumundi shop was extremely well received and when the opportunity came up to shift to Noosa Junction, we thought why not give it a go.”
All the baking is done in-house and Ms Williams ensures her sweet recipes have a personal and tantalising taste.
“We weren’t sure whether the locals would recognise us, but the response has been amazing,” she said.
“We were lucky at the Junction site, as there was a previous cake shop here which closed.”
Mr Williams said she had been a bit worried about so many empty shops at the Junction on Sunshine Beach Road.
“It was a concern initially, but there’s plenty happening at the Junction including new businesses – it just takes time to fill,” she said.
