The mighty Quinn

IT’S BEEN a busy year for Noosa’s Quinn Bruce who’s been surfing up a storm.
Quinn, then 15 years old, kicked off the year winning the highly contested Snapper Open Boardrider Championship, where he beat Mitch Crews in the semis and Joel Parkinson and five other highly rated surfers in the final.
Following his win, Quinn was selected for the Australian team to represent Australia for the second year running in the under-16 competition in Ecuador.
Quinn won the Occy Grom competition, which has been rated as one of the best, but hardest grom competitions in the world.
Later in the year, Quinn won the Rip Curl search in South Australia, captained the Queensland team at the Australian titles in Yallingup, WA, where he came third, and won an Australian title in the under 19 All-Stars.
It’s certainly been a busy year for the local who’s doing Noosa proud in the surfing circuit around the world.
