Russell ready to rock it

ARIA Hall of Fame inductee Russell Morris is set to rock the stage at the Sunshine Beach Surf Club in true Aussie blues and roots style.
Russell’s final instalment from his Blues and Roots Album Trilogy dropped in October and audiences will be sucked into his enthralling stories of our sunburnt country.
The self-proclaimed musical historian has earned his place in Australian music history over the past 40 years with his unique collection of recordings which cut to the very core fabric of our society.
Russell has experienced many musical milestones in his career, with two of his hits, Wings of an Eagle and The Real Thing, featuring prominently in the Australian-made movie The Dish.
Also, Midnight Oil released a cover of Morris’s well-known hit The Real Thing as a one-off single, the first time the highly regarded band had performed a cover.
This show is not one to be missed as Russell gets ready to take the audience on a trip through Australian history with his well-loved rootsy sound.
Catch the Aussie Russell Morris with his band at the Sunshine Beach Surf Club on Sunday 28 February from 3pm. Members $20 and non-members $25. For more information or to book tickets phone 5447 5491.
