THE Queensland ocean swimming season is about to heat up with a star-studded field expected for the third annual Noosa Summer Swim on 30 January at Noosa Heads.
Confirmed starters include former Olympic golden girl Libby Trickett, Beijing silver medallist Andrew Lauterstein, Bondi Rescue’s Deano Gladstone and World Series Swims Ambassador Michael Klim.
The day is set to be exciting for entrants and spectators alike with Deano setting his sights on beating Michael and Andrew in the 3km marathon course.
Events on Saturday 30 January include 300m and 1000m Junior Giants courses designed for kids aged 8-16 years, a 1km short course, 2km long course and 3km marathon course for seasoned and elite swimmers to push their limits.
Sunday events include Beach Yoga and the Milk Active Club, where everyone is invited to take part in a beach circuit training alongside Michael Klim and special guests.
