‘Epitome’ of Noosa lifestyle

IN A bid to lure cold Sydneysiders to the warm north, Tourism Noosa launched their winter campaign in true Noosa style.
The 1950 Woodie Wagon and the rare 1950 Silver Streak Clipper toured the southern state for two weeks in what Tourism Noosa CEO Damien Massingham said was the “epitome” of the Noosa lifestyle.
“The Woody and Clipper really suit the vintage and classy image of Noosa,” he said.
“The car and caravan were parked at Circular Quay during Vivid Sydney and then travelled up the Coast.
“It’s worked really well with bookings already coming in for August and September.”
Timeless Travel Promotions owner Michael Grace drove the vintage car and caravan through New South Wales, and said the promotion attracted a lot of interest.
“It was mind boggling, I couldn’t even get to the car when I parked in New Castle,” he said.
This latest promotion is part of Tourism Noosa’s innovative interstate marketing campaign, which last year saw an increase of 29.1 per cent of interstate visitors following the launch of the campaign.
