NINETEEN under-12 Noosa Pirates players headed to Gladstone last weekend to join 30 other teams in contesting the Jason Hetherington Cup.
The carnival ran over three days and consisted of up to six 20-minute games, with all teams digging in and playing their best throughout the tournament.
The Sunshine Coast was represented by both the Noosa Pirates team and the Caboolture Snakes, and it was these two teams that met in the quarter-final playoff.
Caboolture proved too good for the Pirates, defeating the Noosa team by just four tries.
The club wanted to thank everyone who helped out including coaching staff, management, first-aid, parents, players, fund-raisers and referees.
