River decked out with bridal awards

By Margaret Maccoll

Noosa’s River Deck Restaurant was thrilled to take home the Sunshine Coast restaurant reception award and runner-up Queensland restaurant reception at the Australian Bridal Industry Academy awards on Tuesday 13 June.
Restaurant owner Sue Baxby said the winners were determined from feedback by 5680 past brides and grooms who were asked to rate their wedding suppliers for their quality of product and service, the attitude of staff and the value for money.
“Hundreds of wedding suppliers who competed for ABIA’s prestigious wedding industry award were ranked, rated and evaluated,” she said.
Sue said the River Deck Restaurant gained an impressive ranking of 99.62 per cent.
“We are proud to be part of the wedding industry on the Sunshine Coast and in particular to be part of promoting Noosa to the many guests that weddings bring to the area,” she said.
Sue said the Australian wedding market was composed of 120,000 weddings attended by 11,000,000 guests who collectively spend in excess of $3,000,000,000 each year.
