Hundreds of children are this Sunday (March 25) set to descend upon Peregian Beach Community Kindergarten at Rufous Street this Sunday from 10am for its third annual Easter egg hunt.
Director Carmel Desjardins said there’d be at least a thousand eggs for the hunt at 11am, so bring a basket.
“There’s great excitement [on the day] and the kids are absolutely beside themselves,” she said.
The kindergarten’s egg hunt drew about 400 people last year and with an open invitation this year that number is expected to rise.
Entry is a gold coin donation for the hunt, face painting and tattoo stalls, hot cross buns and coffee and cake stalls, with a special appearance from the Easter bunny and a raffle with $2000 worth of prizes.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for parents who are considering kindergarten for their young babies to spend time in the garden, meet other parents and get a feel for the kindy environment,” Carmel said.
