It’s official: Noosa eatery among the best

WASABI Restaurant and Bar in Quamby Place, Noosa Sound, has been listed as one of four Queensland restaurants named in Australia’s Top 100 Restaurants.
Only four Queensland restaurants made The Australian Financial Review’s Top 100 Restaurant from 500 finalists compiled by a panel of Good Food Guide editors, reviewers and industry figures.
The list was revealed last night in Melbourne with Wasabi Restaurant and Bar coming in at number 53 in the list, while Brisbane’s Esquire was at number 36, Urbane was number 71 and Brisbane’s Gerard’s Bistro was number 74.
The top 10 restaurants were all based in New South Wales or Victoria with Sepia on Sydney’s Sussex Street taking out the top honour of Australia’s Best Restaurant.
The Top Chef award also went to Sepia chef Martin Benn.
