There were action hero dogs, fairy dogs and lots of everyday dogs that tramped along Gympie Terrace, Noosaville, on Sunday for the RSPCA Million Paws Walk.
RSPCA Noosa manager Nicole Cleary described the event as “a great family day out” and said they expected to raise about $9000 toward managing the animal shelter at Noosa.
Melony Brests compered the event which included several competitions.
WInner of the person who looks most like their dog contest was Mike Fitzgerald, who was a keen advocate of people finding their pets at shelters, and his best mate Finnigan.”He came from pet rescue,” Mike said of Finnigan.
“We’ve had him a few years. He’s a lovely dog.
“They’re great dogs at the shelter. They’re temperament tested when you get them.
“It’s such a waste.”
