The paddlers have recently picked up a swag of medals at the World Sprints at Kawana and the National Marathon Titles at Mooloolaba.
Club members paddled their way to the podium each day of the finals at Kawana, achieving three World Records and boosting Australia’s medal tally.
The club delivered a repeat performance at Mooloolaba to collect medals in short and long course ocean races.
Mayor Tony Wellington and his fellow councillors congratulated the team at the Thursday 16 June night meeting.
The club’s oldest member, at 83, carried the Australian flag at the World Sprints opening ceremony.
