Big hearts respond to appeal

By JONATHON HOWARD

DONATIONS have started to flow for Jack Geitl but the family still has a long way to go to purchase a disabled access vehicle.
Jack was born with cerebral palsy and while he attends school daily and lives an active and happy life, his single mother Petra often struggles with Jack’s transport.
“We’re trying to raise enough funds to purchase a disabled access vehicle, so that Jack can be transported a lot easier,” she said.
The first article in Noosa Today, on Thursday 14 August, prompted Noosa local Margaret (last name withheld) to give a small but bighearted donation.
Margaret said she knows Petra and when she read the article about the family’s need, should wanted to give.
“I met Petra many years ago,” she said.
“And when I saw the article, I though it would be nice to give something.”
Petra extended her deepest gratitude for the donation.
“I’d like to thank Margaret for her contribution to help us save for a disabled access vehicle,” she said.
If you are able to help the Geitl family, or you would like to make a donation, please write or phone Noosa Today on (07) 5455 6946 or email: newsdesk@noosatoday.net.au
