Fund-raiser goes by the book

MORE than 100 people gathered at a prayer-flag-decorated Gastons on Friday to help raise funds for girls’ education in Bhutan.
The sold out lunch helped raise $5850, and was organised by locals Krista Waddell and Heather McNeice – who will later this year trek to remote schools in the Himalayas to deliver school supplies.
The two women have already held a sold-out trivia night, and next on the fundraising list is the Summit Ball on 20 September, at the Noosa Sheraton Resort.
Phone Heather on 0448 739 946 to secure your tickets to the ball.
