Author’s dream come true

ISOBEL COLEMAN
Aspiring writers take note – your dream can come true.

That was the message from former Coast resident Candice Fox, who landed a two-book deal with one of Australia’ s biggest publishers.
The University of the Sunshine Coast Creative Writing graduate is celebrating the release of her first crime fiction novel, Hades.
Candice, pictured, who completed her USC Creative Writing Honours degree in 2010, last year won the contract with Random House Australia for national and international publication of two books.
Hades is now available at bookstores and Big W. It is described as a dark, compelling and original thriller about two detectives and a serial killer – “the debut of a stunning new talent in crime fiction”.
Candice said the publishing deal was a lifelong ambition that USC helped her achieve. She is now completing the first draft of her sequel, Eden.
