ONE of the most talked about movies in 2015 is American Sniper, opening at BCC Noosa Cinemas this week.
The film stars Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller and Kyle Gallner and was the brainchild of actor turned director Clint Eastwood.
United State Navy SEAL Chris Kyle (played by Cooper) takes his sole mission, to protect his comrades, to heart and becomes one of the most lethal snipers in American history.
His pinpoint accuracy not only saves countless lives but also makes him a prime target of insurgents. Despite grave danger and his struggle to be a good husband and father to his family back in the States, Kyle serves four tours of duty in Iraq.
However, when he finally returns home, he finds that he cannot leave the war behind. The film delves into the personal life and struggle of an outstanding solider who wrestles with post traumatic stress disorder and civilian life.
The film has received rave reviews with online sources IMDB giving the movie 7.6/10 and Rotten Tomatoes scoring it 75/100.
