WOMEN rock! To celebrate 2016 International Women’s Day the talented women of Noosa and surrounding areas are taking to the stage to wow audiences in the annual Local Women Rock musical event.
Wonderful and talented local women are busy rehearsing for the biggest women’s event in Noosa set to rock the big stage at The J, Noosa Heads, on Tuesday 8 March.
Event organiser Cherry Bright said she was excited with the great line-up of female performers this year, with performers aged eight to 78, and is also looking forward to the event being located at the J Theatre.
“Some of our favourite entertainers will be on stage including local superstar Michelle Brown and the gorgeous Kitty Kats from the Coolum region,” Ms Bright said.
Sharing the stage will be a plethora of performers including the awesome Andrea Kirwan from Pomona; the award-winning blues duo Hat Fits and Cara; the fabulous Burlesque L’Amour dancers from Eumundi; the curvaceous Belli Dancers from Noosa and the youngest star Little Maddie from Doonan.
The audience is encouraged to join in the fun and wear the colours of the suffragette movement; purple, green and white, plus hats and gloves to make an ensemble. Prizes for the best outfit will be given out on the day.
The Local Women Rock show kicks off at The J, 60 Noosa Drive, Noosa Heads, on Tuesday 8 March from 1pm. Tickets are $35 or $32 for pensioners and students, discount applies to groups of 10 or more.
This is a show not to be missed, with a stellar line-up and supporting a great cause. To ensure you don’t miss out contact The J on 5329 6560 on online at www.thej.com.au to secure your seat.
