Free Feast at The J

Sound Feast is an incredible FREE concert at The J Theatre featuring awesome bands and performers.  February 23 promises to deliver one of the Coast’s best nights out including Niq Reefman, The Dennis Sisters, Mapstone, Captain Dreamboat and Alisha Todd
Fans describe Niq Reefman as “Tim Minchin flying a trumpet through a thunderstorm” or a “One-man-cat-empire-band”. Niq stands out not only with his minimalist fusion of Jazz with narrative-like lyrics, but with melody that draws on emotion and culture.

The Dennis Sisters are a talented Sunshine Coast duo who made their TV debut on the X Factor Australia in 2016.
Both sisters are passionate about performing, changing up covers and writing their own original material.
With Tiana Dennis aged 16 years, on acoustic guitar and Briannah Dennis aged 18 years, grooving it out on the bass, these talented sisters switch between singing lead and beautiful sibling harmonies while their different tones blend together to form their own unique sound.

Mapstone define a new genre – ‘Heart/Roots’ music. Having just returned from touring Canada, they are ready for a full summer festival season in Australia. Theses musicians are committed to their path and dedicated to living a life of purpose and meaning.
“Mapstone’s conscious Heart root’s music is infectious to the soul, uplifting and leaves you calling for more. Full of joy, depth, inspiration and spirit, this is a band with a mission with enough heart to see it through. Do yourself a favour and experience this musical medicine.”
There is delicious hot food now available on the deck: Japanese Yums/The Dumpling Hut – steamed dumplings (pork, prawn, vegan) , fish cakes, chilled soy beans, seaweed salad – YUM.
It’s family friendly, no booking required with plenty of comfortable seating, dance floor, a full bar and friendly venue staff.  Your Friday night is sorted, from 6pm.
