Bike On will be offering the first of three free Cycling Workshops on Saturday 24 March thanks to grant funding obtained from Noosa Council by Zero Emissions Noosa (ZEN).
The 1.5hr workshops will be held at Girraween Sports Complex, Eenie Creek Rd, Noosa Heads, utilising existing cycling infrastructure. The workshops will be structured sessions run by accredited cycle skills Instructors from Bike On. They will be a relatively short format (1.5hrs) aimed at local residents who need that final bit of motivation to ride their bikes more frequently & with improved confidence.
The Basic Cycle Skills for Women Workshop on Saturday 24March from 3-4.30pm will be free for participants and aims to build confidence and improve cycling safety for females aged 18 years and over who haven’t ridden in a while and need a refresher. Bikes are also available to hire on request.
This will be followed by a free Social Guided Ride on Saturday 28April from 3-4.30pm coinciding with the start of National Bike Week from 28 April – 7 May. The aim of the ride will be to encourage friends & families to ride together & for the Community to explore on the network of local cycle paths.
The final session will be a Bike Maintenance Workshop on Saturday 26 May from 3-4.30pm to give participants the skills and confidence to undertake the basic bike maintenance required to be a regular rider. Phone Bike On for further details or to book on 5474 3322 or email info@bikeon.com.au
