Whimsical art on show

Artist Pete Goodlet finally moved to Peregian Beach two years ago after dreaming of living in Noosa since a month long holiday here with his sister when he was 18 and has brought his whimsical art with him.
This Friday evening from 5pm he will launch a solo exhibition at The Gallery Peregian Beach at 12 Grebe Street.
Titled The Whimsical Sea, the exhibition features images that include artist Frida Kahlo and local seascapes.
When he’s not painting Pete, who lives with his partner David and their dog Thelma Louise, runs a bnb called Boheme, designs gardens and enjoys life in Noosa.
“I’ve never lived anywhere that I’ve loved more,” he said.
“In my wonderful studio space in subtropical Peregian Beach I design beautiful liveable gardens, paint and create. Otherwise you will find me renovating, gardening or swimming in the ocean,” he said.
“Thelma Louise (the “woofer”) keeps me company whilst the delightful Dave works away in the background. My paintings are whimsical fun, and full of beauty. However, I still love to design gorgeous outdoor spaces. My gardens focus on making the most of life and the space you have. I focus on beauty and practicality.. they are truly gardens to live in, enjoy and share with others.”
