Celebrity chefs descend on Noosa

THE 2014 Noosa International Food and Wine Festival took over the Noosa Heads Lions Park for three glorious days of food, wine and entertainment.
The annual festival saw celebrity chefs such as Matt Preston, Neil Perry and Adriano Zumbo rub shoulders with local culinary royalty such as Cooroy’s Maison de Provence owner/chef Eric Pernoud.
Even rain and mud couldn’t dampen the crowd’s spirit with rows of wine stalls proving sweet delight, local restaurants shining with sell-out festival food, and even children getting in on the action with the Slow Food competition, which saw them create dishes to rival the professionals.
The produce marquee offered tastings of artisan products presented directly to event-goers by the creators themselves.
As one of Australia’s biggest food and wine festivals, the NIFWF didn’t disappoint. Beachfront dinners, star-studded entertainment, cooking demonstrations and sunset cocktails saw thousands of locals and visitors flow through the front gates each day.
