In line for fine wine

AS THE sun set over the Noosa River last Friday, the Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club came to life for the Taste the First wine night.
Hosted by New Zealand wine company, Matua, guests were treated to Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Merlot varieties, all produced in the land of the long white cloud.
Matua Wines grand ambassador Bill Spence conducted the evening and offered a deep knowledge of New Zealand wines.
Bill has been described as part of the fabric of New Zealand winemaking history, with his father having planted vines in West Auckland before Bill and his brother began making wines in 1974.
NYRC manager Ashley Little said the night was a great success and the recently refurbished club was the perfect venue for such a classy night.
