Track and field stars of the future

NOOSA’S athletes are set to return to the track for the start of the new season of Little Athletics Noosa at the Girraween Sports Complex.
All young and aspiring athletes aged between 5 and 16 are invited to register at one of two sign-on days for Little Athletics Noosa.
Newly-elected centre manager Kirin Hagicostas said the success of Australia’s track and field athletes at the Olympic Games in Rio is likely to encourage young ones to sign-up to Little Athletics.
“Adding to this, three of our own athletes, Nick Hooper, Ben Mander and Jack Payne have inspired our local athletes having represented Australia at the Oceanic Games in Fiji in July,” Kirin said.
“All three athletes returned with medals in High Jump (Bronze), 800m (Silver) and Discus (Silver) respectively.”
All sign-on days for Little Athletics Noosa will be held at the Girraween Sports Complex, Eenie Creek Road in Sunshine Beach.
Come along and register on Sunday 28 August and Sunday 4 September from 1-4pm.
Competition will commence on Friday 16 September, from 5.30pm.
