Class marked by energy, passion and humility

THE St Andrew’s Class of 2016 has walked out of the college for the last time after a huge week of celebration.
Principal Reverend Chris Ivey said the legacy left by the Class of 2016 would be their energy, passion and humility, as well as their great sense of fun as a cohort.
Deputy principal Paul Sjogren said the year group was made up of terrifically gifted academics, wonderful athletes, swimmers, musicians, singers, instrumentalists, dramatists, but most of all a group of truly outstanding young people.
Year 12 student Jaxon Pukallus was announced as dux to a standing ovation at the Secondary Presentation Evening last Tuesday, where many other secondary students were recognised for their hard work and dedication.
The Year 12 Honouring Service and final ‘walk-out’ was held on Friday, where students, staff and parents form a guard of honour to farewell the graduates.
Tradition was carried out when the students headed straight from school to the beach at Noosa, wading into the ocean in their uniforms to sing the college song for what may be the last time as a cohort.
All the best to the Class of 2016 as they move confidently into their futures.
