Festival blasts off

Megan, Winter, Blossom and Mark arrived early to grab a spot for the fireworks.

It was 10 minutes of explosive visual effects involving 10,000 fireworks which totally captivated thousands of guests who had headed down to Gympie Terrace on Saturday night to enjoy one of the Noosa Alive festival’s opening events.

The 91.1Hot Fire in the Sky firework held in awe a crowd which filled Lions Park at Noosaville and no one was disappointed with the show.

The fireworks was the grand finale of an afternoon of entertainment and stalls delivered free to the community.

Noosa Alive will continue to showcase an array of music, theatre, entertainment and art as it continues until Sunday.

Also free to the community is the Spanish Quarter which will operate Friday, Saturday and Sunday and has returned following its popularity last year.

The street market set up  in the Maze car park, next to Rococo Noosa will bring together culinary delights, music and street performers.
