Tewantin Noosa Bowls Club is organising a fund-raising event called The Road to Recovery for local woman Marilyn Clayton. This very special mother of local bowling legend Kelsey Cottrell, suffered a massive brain aneurism just days after her 60th birthday. She was given very little chance of survival but against all odds she has survived and is making some progress on the road to recovery but has a long way to go. The members of Tewantin Noosa Bowls Club have decided to run this wonderful bowls event with raffles, auctions and lots of fun with all proceeds going to Marilyn to assist in her recovery.
The event is on Sunday 10 September, from 1pm, with an entry fee per team of $30.
Teams will play two games games of 16 ends or for 90 minutes, between 1pm and 2.30pm, and 3pm to 4.30pm.
There will be an auction of a new set of bowls, plus raffles and a sausage sizzle after the game and all green fees and proceeds from auction and raffles to be donated to Marilyn to assist with recovery.
Donations would also be greatly appreciated.
