Mark Denham has been officially endorsed as the Labor candidate for the Noosa electorate to contest the next State Government Elections against sitting member Glen Elmes.
Access to better local health care, improved roads, better public transport and the repurposing of Noosa TAFE are issues on his agenda for the election.
Mr Denham contested the 2015 election, garnering 20.5 per cent of the first preference vote behind 48.6 per cent for Mr Elmes and 21.4 per cent for the Greens candidate Joe Schlegeris.
A Noosa resident for the past 28 years, Mr Denham is a paramedic stationed at the Tewantin Ambulance Station and an SES volunteer.
“I’ve lived in the Noosa community for almost three decades – raising my four children and nine grandchildren here,” he said.
“I understand the pressures on local families and want to make sure they have access to affordable, high quality health care, and the opportunity to find work here in the local area.”
