THE Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club (NYRC) can better help disadvantaged and Indigenous youths, thanks to a generous donation by the Noosa Heads Surf Club.
Last week, Noosa Heads Surf Club donated $2000 and first aid equipment to the NYRC Buoyed up Program as part of the community partnership program.
The NYRC Buoyed Up Program allows disadvantaged and Indigenous students to enjoy a five-day sailing camp as part of a personal development program.
Noosa Heads SLSC spokesperson Ian Young said the club was proud of the long-term relationship with NYRC and said the club was excited to be able to help with the NYRC youth initiatives.
The funds and first aid equipment will help the NYRC programs continue to help more kids learn to sail over the coming year and also help with the Buoyed Up Program.
