There’s craft in their art

A NEW artisan gallery is set to open in Peregian Beach and will showcase local and national handmade arts.
The new gallery, Coastal Artisans, is the work of three local artists – Brenda Marshall from Tree Tomato, Melissa McFarlane from Charlie Mac Designs and Elke Lucas from Elke Lucas Ceramics.
The gallery will also include works by Wool and Cotton Road, Deadwood Creative, Julie Hanrahan, Nature Art Jewellery and many more artisan creations.
Founder Brenda said Coastal Artisans is a gallery to showcase “art with heart”.
“What we love is art and craft presented in a peaceful space with a minimal aesthetic and what we love even more is art with lots of heart thrown into it,” she said.
The official opening is on 7 November from 4pm, and will be held at the gallery at shop 5b, 12 Grebe Street, Peregian Beach.
