Minogue is new head coach

By Hollie Harris

Sunshine Beach Surf Lifesaving Club recently announced that it has appointed a new head coach for the 2017/18 surf sports season.
For the previous two seasons ex-Olympian and Australia’s most successful life saving competitor Clint Robinson has been in place as head coach at Sunshine Beach, but with Clint moving onto new challenges after the recent Australian titles it was time to make way for a new face to head up the coaching team.
As such the club is pleased to announce that Josh Minogue, ex-Ironman series competitor, Coolangatta Gold winner and Fox Sports/WIN News sports presenter has agreed to join their team as from May 2017 as head coach.
Josh brings many years of competition experience with him and has a young, fresh approach to coaching and surf club life which is sure to resonate with the team of Nippers and cadet competitors who have enjoyed so much success in previous years at branch, state and Australian level.
For information on joining Sunshine Beach Surf Lifesaving club as a volunteer life saver, Nipper or surf sports competitor, please visit our website www.sunshinebeachslsc.com.au or call the life saving administrator on 5447 5491.
