INFINITY Martial Arts Noosa attended the Queensland Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Circuit on Sunday 15 May bringing home a horde of medals.
Organisers of the state competition said the event was the biggest in Queensland, and were proud of the high level of skill shown by competitors.
“There was an amazing show of jiu-jitsu skills on the brown and black belt divisions especially, great sportsmanship and good atmosphere all day,” they said.
Local competitors in the adult division were Adam Caple, Wayne Celeban, Cheyne Douglas, Kesten Hill, Steve Kelly, Dale Leo, Sam McCloskey and Andrew Sellman who brought home eight medals including two gold, five silver and one bronze.
Local youth competitors Elliott Celeban, Leo Celeban, Taj Marsh, Aiden Roberti, Isaiah Thinee and Ky Vandersteen brought home five medals in total; three gold and two silver.
