Art will keep popping up

THE PopUp art series that has been at the Cooroy Butter Factory since May will stay until the end of the year.
Noosa Regional Art Gallery director Nina Shadforth made the announcement at the end of last week and said the success of the exhibition has been encouraging.
“I am really pleased to be able to extend the PopUp shows through to the end of the year,” she said.
The PopUp Art Series Exhibition has been a collaboration between the Noosa Regional Art Gallery and regional artists through Artists Collective and co-ordinated by well known local artists Tricia Bradford and Gabi Dick.
“Visitation to the Butter Factory has increased steadily with the PopUp exhibition which is gaining traction in terms of the visitors knowing that there will be artists on-site to talk to, be able to purchase an original work of art at reasonable prices and even see artists working,” Nina said.
Throughout the remaining months of this year, the PopUp exhibition will also be peppered with annual local favourites such as the Noosa District State High School Year 12 Student Exhibition and the Christmas in Cooroy Photographic Exhibition.
“The PopUp series concept has certainly activated the Butter Factory space and I believe that the local businesses are starting to see some positive signs and reasons to extend their hours for visitors to Cooroy who like to visit galleries and enjoy a coffee or lunch as part of their visit,” Nina said.
