Literary lunch is writer’s new project

Internationally-acclaimed author Graeme Simsion will join Mary-Lou Stephens in conversation next month at Noosa Library Service’s latest literary lunch.
With his new novel The Best of Adam Sharp due to hit shelves in September, Simsion will discuss the writing process, character and story development and life.
Born in Auckland, the Melbourne-based author’s romantic comedy The Rosie Project became an international mega-seller.
Originally a screenplay it went on to win the 2012 Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for an unpublished manuscript and has since been sold around the world to more than 40 countries.
It will soon be made into a movie.
His fans include Bill Gates who famously shared one of Simsion’s books with 50 friends.
In The Best of Adam Sharp, Simsion uses a light touch to explore serious issues such as the nature of love, the challenges of long-term relationships and how we deal with the past.
“We are delighted to welcome Graeme Simsion to Noosa where a lucky few will get to hear the author talk about his career as a writer, what inspires his work and how his top-selling books have taken shape,” said Library Programs Officer Liz Bleechmore.
The Graeme Simsion Literary Lunch is on Thursday 22 September and the cost is $55 per head including a two-course meal.
For venue details and to book, phone 5329 6555.
